Homeopathy Online vs In Person: What to Expect from Each

One of the most common questions people ask is whether homeopathy can be done online, or whether it has to be face to face. The honest answer is that both work well — they simply suit different people and situations. This post explains what to expect from each, so you can choose what fits.
This is educational, not medical advice.
Why the format matters less than you might think
The heart of a homeopathic consultation is the conversation — the long, careful case-taking in which a homeopath builds a detailed picture of you. That conversation travels surprisingly well down a video call. What the homeopath is listening for — how you describe things, what matters to you, the patterns in your life — comes through clearly whether you are in the room or on a screen.
What homeopathy online looks like
A homeopathy online consultation is, in practice, much like an in-person one: a scheduled video call, an unhurried conversation, and the same depth of case-taking. Remedies, where used, are typically ordered from a homeopathic pharmacy and posted to you.
Online tends to suit people who:
Live at a distance, travel often, or have a busy schedule.
Prefer the comfort and convenience of being at home.
Are based in another country — for example, UK clients working with a UK-qualified homeopath.
What in-person adds
An in-person consultation offers the things that come with sharing a room: the ease of face-to-face conversation, and for some people a greater sense of connection. It tends to suit those who simply prefer meeting in person, and who can travel to the practice.
How to choose
There is no right answer — only what suits you. Many people mix the two: a first appointment in person and follow-ups online, or vice versa. If you are unsure, the simplest thing is to ask.
For me, that means in-person consultations here in Malmö, and online consultations for those further afield, including UK-based clients.
If you would like to talk through which would suit you, that is what a free intro call is for.
Individual Support
Whether online or in person, the heart of the work is the same: an unhurried look at your whole picture. An individual consultation is where that happens.
In a first consultation, I would explore:
When things began and whether there was a clear trigger
Exactly how you experience them, in your own words
What makes them better or worse — including stress, routine, and daily life
Your wider health picture — sleep, energy, appetite, and how long things have been going on
Anything you are already doing or taking, and any diagnoses you have
How it all fits together as one whole-person pattern
A consultation allows the full pattern to be explored properly, rather than focusing on one piece in isolation. You are welcome to book a free intro call to ask a question or to see whether working together feels right — in person in Malmö or online.
